| Bubba Owens will be Grand Marshal of Christmas Parade The 2008 Hartsville Christmas Parade happens Saturday, Dec. 13, and Hartsville/Trousdale Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eleanor Ford says the event is shaping up to be a gala affair. Trousdale County native Nathaniel "Bubba" Owens will serve as Grand Marshal of this year's parade, which will feature the theme "Sing a Song of Christmas."

| Hartsville Upholstery leaves town after 35 years Since 1972, Allen and Linda Dickerson have operated Hartsville Upholstery Shop from their location at 103 West Main in downtown Hartsville, plying their trade by upholstering new and antique furniture, cars, boats, church pews, and whatever needed their skill. But last Friday, an era came to an end when the shop closed its doors and the Dickersons moved their place of operation to a shop next to their home in nearby Lafayette. Yellow Jackets crown Homecoming game with undefeated season The Trousdale County Yellow Jackets completed an undefeated regular season last Friday night with a 59-6 win over the visitors from Red Boiling Springs. It was the ninth such unblemished regular season since 1972 for the Jackets. Four of those seasons were in AA, four in 1A, and one in 3A. Other records indicate this was the 14th undefeated season in Yellow Jacket history.
