15 charged in drug roundup Thursday

Officers with the 15th District Drug Task Force, Trousdale and Smith County Sheriff’s Depatments and Carthage Police Foce joined togther to roundup people named during the recent Grand Jury.

While it was an average Thursday afternoon for many, the folks working with the 15th District Drug Task Force, it was a rather busy.

"The drug task force with undercover investigations, have indicted several Monday before a Grand Jury, and today we are picking them up," Trousdale County Sheriff Ray Rusell said. "They will be arraigned Friday and Monday."

More than 20 names were indicted during the Oct. 22 Grand Jury, and Russell commented they continue to look for the few remaining names as of Monday. This roundup included the 15th District Drug Task Force, Trousdale County Sheriff's Department, Smith County Sheriff's Department and Carthage Police Department.

This is second drug roundup for the year.

Those who were arraigned are:

• Ginger D. Gammons, sell of Schedule III drug Dihydrcodeinone and promotion of Methamphetamine manufacture

• Tony M. Harper, sell of Schedule IV drug Alprazolam

• Ebony S. Hicks, sell of Schedule II drug Cocaine, less than .5 grams

• Marcia Leaver, conspiracy to manufacture Schedule II drug Methamphetamine

• Logan N. Riley, two counts of selling a Schedule II drug Morphine

• Michael Burton McDonald, selling of Schedule II drug cocaine, less than .5 grams

• Garland Monley, selling of counterfeit controlled substance and selling id Schedule II Cocaine, less than .5 grams

• Johnny W. Oldham, two counts selling of Schedule II Morphine

• Peggy A. Parker, selling of Schedule II Morphine

• Angela L. Ray, two counts of selling Schedule II Cocaine, greater than .5 grams, and violation of drug free school zone

• Samuel Lee Ray, four counts of selling of Schedule II Cocaine, greater than .5 grams; possession weapon - convicted felon; possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and violation of drug free school zone

• Gwenne D. Shockley, three counts of selling of Schedule II Cocaine, less than .5 grams

• Leteasha S. Wright, selling of Schedule II Cocaine, less than .5 grams

• Marco Douglas Wright, selling of counterfeit controlled substance and selling of Schedule II Cocaine, less than .5 grams, with the intent to sell

• Chitica Reshae Woodard, three counts of selling of Schedule II Cocaine, less than .5 grams, with intent to sell
