Jim Satterfield Middle School started its 2017-18 basketball season on Nov. 2 with home games against Red Boiling Springs.

The Jr. Lady Jackets quickly fell behind and went on to lose 52-23.

Kailen Donoho scored nine points and Autumn Parrish had four. Alyssa Chapman and Eliseana Satterfield each had three points while Charlee Jo Dixon and Anna Beth Martin had two apiece.

In the boys game, the Jr. Jackets raced out to an early lead and cruised to a 58-19 victory.

Garrett Rieger had 18 points for the Jr. Jackets while Xavier Russell and Bryson Claiborne were also in double figures with 13 and 12 points respectively. Mason Maddox had five points, while Andrew Ford, Alex Popleski, Jess Holder, Kyle Blair and Tyler Dixon each had two.

JSMS will host Westmoreland on Thursday and travel to Celina on Monday.

High school: Trousdale County will open its 2017-18 basketball season on Nov. 14 with a game at Smith County. The girls game will get under way at 6 p.m.
