The Trousdale County Lady Jackets played twice in district action last week, coming away with a split of the two games.

At home on April 3, the Lady Jackets gave up four runs in the first inning of a 6-0 loss to Gordonsville. It was the Lady Jackets’ 19th consecutive loss to the Tigerettes.

Junior Camyron Hurd and freshman Hannah Haley had the only two hits for the Lady Jackets.

On Thursday, Trousdale (2-3, 2-2 6-A) traveled to Jackson County and earned a 12-4 victory over the Lady Blue Devils to complete a sweep of the season series.

The Lady Jackets banged out 15 hits, with Hurd and freshman Kirsten Eversole collecting three apiece. Hailey added a pair of hits, as did classmates Rebecca Chapman and Makayla Crook. Freshmen Katie Crowder, Kinley Brown and Faith Winter had the other three hits for coach Blake Satterfield’s girls.

Hailey pitched all seven innings to get the win, while recording five strikeouts in the process.

The Lady Jackets were scheduled to host Monterey on Wednesday, then travel to Monterey on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. start. Trousdale will host Red Boiling Springs on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

JSMS: The Jim Satterfield Jr. Lady Jackets are scheduled to travel to Gordonsville on Thursday before hosting Tucker’s Crossroads on Friday. They will then travel to Red Boiling Springs on Monday.
