Avoid the blues this New Year's

While red and green flashing lights can be a beautiful sight, blue flashing lights in your rearview mirror, not so much. To keep from celebrating the New Year in the drunk tank, a designated driver is only a phone call away.

"I would rather someone call to take a sober ride home then have an accident," said Trousdale County Sheriff Ray Russell. "Plus nobody wants to get stopped to get a DUI."

Deputies will be able to pick up citizens and take them to any location within the county. If you find yourself without a designated driver, just call 374-3994.
