Trousdale Livestock Association holds annual fall meeting

The Trousdale Co. Livestock Association held its annual meeting on Nov. 8.

At the meeting, a ribeye steak sandwich dinner was served. The meal and meeting was sponsored by CPC commodities and Pfizer Animal Health. Dr. Eric Shaffer nutritionist from CPC presented information on weaning calf management and the benefits of weaning.

Jennie Schutte, from Pfizer Animal Health presented information about the SelectVac program and the upcoming Alliance Sale in Smith Co.

The association also selected two new board members at the meeting, Darren Fleming and Jim Coley.

The highlight of the evening was the Pen of 3 feeder calf show. Mack Moss, Tennessee State Livestock grader, judged the event. After a few comments about each pen of calves, Moss chose a pen of black baldy heifers entered by Bobby Cornwell to be the champion.
