AT&T brings mobile internet to Hartsville

AT&T announced the availability of its mobile Internet network in Hartsville in Trousdale County extending access for advanced mobile services, devices and applications to customers in the area.

AT&T is an industry leader in delivering the benefits of the mobile Internet, offering powerful and flexible connectivity, a wide range of smartphone and other device options, and simultaneous voice and data capabilities for an amazing wireless voice and Internet experience.

“As more and more residents of Hartsville rely on their mobile devices for information and connectivity, they must have faster connections,” said Sen. Ferrell Haile. “Investments in mobile Internet will have an immediate impact for our consumers and businesses.”

“Investments in mobile Internet technologies foster economic growth in areas like small business, high-tech manufacturing, health care and education,” said Rep. Terri Lynn Weaver. “This investment is especially important to consumers and businesses in Hartsville and Trousdale County.”

"AT&T's investment in Hartsville and Trousdale County will provide increased access to mobile technologies, which will help improve our business climate and make our area more attractive to employers that are looking to expand or relocate," said Trousdale County Executive-Mayor Jake West.

“AT&T invested nearly $1.3 billion in its Tennessee wireless and wireline networks from 2009 through 2011 with a focus on improving the company’s mobile Internet coverage and overall performance of its networks, so these network enhancements in Hartsville and Trousdale County are just the latest examples of AT&T’s significant infrastructure investment,” said Lanie Johnson, regional director, AT&T Tennessee.
