Jackets gather losses against Clay

Trousdale County traveled to Clay County on Dec. 20, but returned with two losses.

The Lady Jackets took an 8-point lead, 38-30, into the fourth quarter but faltered in that last period and lost to the Lady Bulldogs 47-43.

Senior Natalie Storey netted 13 points and senior Bailey Howell had nine. Senior Sydney Shoulder and sophomore Hannah Gregory added eight apiece. Sophomore Ashley Cornwell had three and junior Paige Burnley two.

The Jackets had a 16-10 lead in the first quarter, but struggled to the final horn and lost 50-28.

Junior Christian Lauderdale, senior Dylan Hurst and senior Cody Sircy scored nine, eight and seven respectively. Junior C.J. Dickerson and sophomore Marquel Claiborne each added two.

This week the Lady Jackets will take part in the Watertown Christmas Tournament while the Jackets will play in the Nera White Christmas Tournament in Lafayette.
