The Hartsville Rotary Club will be holding a pair of fundraising events over the next two weekends.
First off will be the Club’s second annual Bass Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Defeated Creek Marina in Carthage.
The entry fee is $30 per person, with 60 percent of the proceeds being paid out in prizes.
The tournament will run from safe light until 2 p.m. Each boat will be allowed to weigh in five bass but must follow Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency rules for Cordell Hull Lake.
There will be prizes for the largest bass and for the largest non-bass caught, as well as a number of door prizes offered. For tickets or more information, contact Ronny Tucker at 615-680-4556 or Stanley Farley at 615-633-7041.
The following weekend, the Club will sponsor a Mother-Son Glow in the Dark Dance Party from 7-9 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $20 per mother/son and $5 for each additional child. Children are requested to be age 5 or over.
Tickets for the dance are available at Citizens Bank, Wilson Bank & Trust, Trousdale Senior Living Center and the Trousdale County Register of Deeds office.
Both fundraisers will help the Hartsville Rotary Club with multiple community projects that members take part in, including dictionaries for third-grade students, the Summer Backpack Program, the Imagination Library, scholarships for graduating high school seniors and Christmas For Kids.
