TDOT contracted crews are currently working on necessary repairs to the bridge on Highway 141 South that passes over the Cumberland River. The maintenance work will involve some replacement of metal beneath the bridge while also tearing out some of the old asphalt down to the concrete in the areas that have shown wear. New asphalt will be paved when the project is complete in a couple of weeks. TDOT asks for patience from motorists as lane shifts will be involved to keep the flow of traffic. Motorist are asked to use caution in work zones so workers can remain safe as they do their jobs. Any questions on the project, contact County Mayor Jake West at 374-2461 or email [email protected].
