Jesse Francys Brazelton, age 92, of Murfreesboro and formerly of Franklin County, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.

She was born in Hartsville (Trousdale County), Tennessee on March 26, 1926 to the late Jesse Franklin and Quincy Adams (Brooks) Merryman.

A dedicated homemaker that will be remembered for her caring nature, Francys enjoyed cooking, sewing, and growing flowers and vegetables in the garden. She was a member of Riva Lake Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Francys is preceded in death by: her husband, James Edwin Brazelton; son, Jamie Brazelton; and sisters, Ruby Coble and Grady Williams.

She is survived by: her loving children, Melinda (Charlie) Knies of Black Mountain, NC, Joy Loftis of Murfreesboro, Robin (Gay) Brazelton of Belvidere, and Carl Reid (Sandra) Duncan of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.

Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
