William Buford Bybee
Services for Mr. Bybee will be 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Anthony Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Bybee officiating. Interment will be in Hartsville Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bybee, 93, of Hartsville, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Nashville. He was the son of the late Jim and Buena Bybee, a retired farmer, carpenter and window maker. He was a member of Hartsville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Hilda Hancock Bybee; brother, Silas Scot Bybee Sr.; and son, James Alton Bybee. Survivors include: son, Roger (Pamela) Bybee of Goodlettsville; grandchildren, Tara (Richard) Beard of Lebanon, Christopher (Vanessa) Bybee of Franklin and Jason (Sunny) Bybee of Madison, Ala.; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Micah and Hope Beard and Caitlin, Josh and Abbey Kate Bybee.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Maybelle Carter Assisted Living, Imperial Manor and Odyssey Health Care.
Charlotte Alean Hankins Garrett
Services for Mrs. Garrett will be noon Wednesday, May 30 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Grooms and Bro. Glenn Pritchett officiating. Interment will be in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrett, 81, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She worked at the Lebanon Garment Co. and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Highland Heights Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by parents, Henry Everett and Daisy Belcher Hankins; son, Jimmy Lawrence Garrett; great-grandson, Weston Hunter Greer; sisters, Vera Vantrease and Ruby Johnson; brother, John Luther Hankins.
Survivors include: her husband of sixty-three years, Truman Lawrence Garrett; daughter, Charlotte Faye (Riley) Greer of Hartsville; four grandsons, Stephen (Tammy) Greer, Jason (Allison) Greer, Scott (Kendra) Garrett and Rodney Garrett; six great-grandsons, Ethan, Bryson, Mason, Dylan, and Mitchell Greer and Austin Garrett; two step-great-grandchildren, Kendall and Cameron Parker; devoted friends, Charlotte Holman and Nora Garrett.
Pallbearers will be Scott, Rodney and Austin Garrett, Terry Pritchett, Stephen, Jason, Ethan, Dylan, Mitchell and Bryson Greer. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Goforth will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Gray ‘s Mortuary in South Carolina.
Mr. Goforth, 53, of Lebanon, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include: his daughter, Heidi R. Goforth; a granddaughter, Kelsey Smith; a grandson, Kyle Goforth, all of Old Hickory; and his mother, Panzy Ferrell of Valdosta, Ga.
Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Eloise M. Hallsted
Services for Mrs. Hallsted will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Chamberlain Chapel with Pastor Kelly McDowell and Pastor Randy Dockweiler officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hallsted, 80, of Chadron, Neb., died Friday, May 25, 2007, at Chadron Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Carrie Trapp; a brother, Charles Trapp; a daughter, Phyllis Hallsted; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron Hallsted of Chadron, Neb. and Hap Jr. (Martha) Hallsted of Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Joy Phillips of Lebanon, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Wooten were Monday, May 28 at Forest Lawn Chapel with Jim Norton officiating.
Mr. Wooten, 68, died Friday, May 25, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Thomas and Edith Elizabeth Wooten and a brother, Thomas Wooten.
Survivors include: a son, Mike (Paula) Wooten; grandchildren, Nick and Cassie; a sister, Joyce Jackson sister-in-law, Margaret Wooten; nieces, Amy Wooten and Beth Miller; and a nephew, Doug Jackson.
