Services for Mr. Blanton will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Hermitage Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in Hernitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Blanton, 59, of Mt. Juliet, died Thursday, May 24, 2007.

Survivors include: wife, Janice Blanton; daughter, Kelly Hartley; son, John (Lori) Blanton; mother, Louise Blanton; grandson, Cody Hartley; granddaughter, Ciara Blanton; sister, Marsha (Dennis) Stepp; brothers, Gary and Dennis (Heather) Blanton; sister-in-law, Jean Woertz; nieces, Kim (Chuck) Spencer, Tracy (Roger) Ilias and Tara (David) Wiygul; great-nieces, Nicole Spencer and Carlee and Hope Ilias; and great-nephew, Noah Ilias.Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Services for Mr. Burchett will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Burchett, 79, of Lebanon died Thursday, May, 24, 2007, at his home. He served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne as a paratrooper and ski instructor in the Occupation Army in Japan. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1951 and later earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Louisville. In 1966 he moved to Lebanon and purchased Cedar Motors. He owned Burchett Ford in Lebanon for 41 years. The business grew and eventually became Burchett Ford Lincoln Mercury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom “Jumper” Burchett and Norma Rebecca Burchett; a grandson, Austin Hamilton Burchett; a brother, Wade Oliver Burchett; and a sister, Blanche Burchett Cox.

Survivors include: three children, Byron Glenn Burchett of Old Hickory, Louise Burchett (Guy) Chamberlain of Charlotte, N.C., and Keith Faulkner Burchett of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Caroline Burchett and Julianna Burchett of Wilmington, N.C., and Glenn and John Chamberlain of Charlotte, N.C.; four brothers, Clyde Burton (Eileen) Burchett of Prestonsburg, Kent., Kenneth Ray (Linda) Burchett of Prestonsburg, Kent., Andrew Jackson “Jack” Burchett of Lucasville, Ohio, and Gayle Richmond (Rhonda) Burchett of Prestonsburg, Kent.; three sistesr, Geraldine Burchett Cisco and Virginia Burchett Wallace, both of Prestonsburg, Kent., and Tommie Jean Burchett Richardson of Columus, Ga.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Burchett Ford Lincold Mercury.

Wilford J. Sorg Jr.

Services for Mr. Sorg will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at Bond Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Spickard officiating.

Mr. Sorg, 67, of Mt. Juliet, died Thursday, May 24, 2007. He was a 1958 graduate of DeLand-Weldon High in Fremont, Ohio and a 1986 graduate of the New England Institute of Technology. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by parents, Wilford James and Juanita Levey Sorg; and wife, Mary Anita “Marie” Sorg. Survivors include: daughters, Tina Arruda and Tanya (Richard) Beadles, both of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Kalie Arruda and Hannah and Jacob Beadles; and several brothers and sisters.
