Wylna Marshall Beene Clinard, age 85, of Adairville, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.

She was born in Hartsville, Tennessee, on March 11, 1934 to the late Aubrey Faust Marshall and Minnie Gregory Marshall.

After attending two years at Brenau University, a private girls school, she graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and later served on the Nashville Big Orange Club’s Board of Directors. She was a middle school teacher and basketball coach. Wylna was very well known as a local Nashville tour guide, helping start the special events department at Opryland Hotel. She was also a fashion and wardrobe consultant and volunteered for many groups over her years. Always active in church throughout her life, she attended Belmont Heights Baptist and ended her life attending Adairville Baptist Church where she was chairperson for the Dazzlin’ Diners.

She was preceded in death by: husband, Bobby Jo Beene.

She is survived by: husband, Walter Ray Clinard; son, Marshall LaClaire (Tammy) Beene of Murfreesboro; granddaughter, Aubrey Grace Beene of Nashville; sisters-in-law, Georgia Beene Phillips and Joyce Beene Lott, both of Henderson.

As an only child, growing up, Wylna’s cousins were her brothers and sisters. Later in life, her close friends were more like close family.

Cousins are Bill Gregory (Jacquelyn) of Grove, OK, Mary Alice Marshall Berghorn (Dave) of Gallatin, Wayne Marshall (Pat) of Nashville, Ott Gregory (Shelby) of Gallatin, Edward Wesley Marshall of Hartsville, Shirley Turner Smith of Hendersonville, Linda Turner Twelves of Mt. Juliet, Brenda Burrow Beasley of Dixon Springs, Sue Cornwell Smith of Pleasant Shade.

Special friends are Barbara O’Leary Carlton of Nashville, Linda Smith Dunning of Columbia, Joyce Brooks Taylor of Nashville, Beverly Gotto Sloan of Brentwood, Helen Stewart of Nashville and many many friends.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, April 16, at Adairville Baptist Church with Bro. Randall Rogers, Bro. Michael Edwards and Bro. Mark Bond officiating.

Burial was at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Hope Lodge Nashville.

Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home, Russellville, KY, was in charge of arrangements.
