Jim Satterfield Middle swept both basketball games from Carroll-Oakland on Oct. 29.

Ja’Nae Aponté scored 12 points and Abby Elmore had 11 as the Jr. Lady Jackets won 52-16.

Taren Simmons added seven points while Kayleigh Dunn, Marley Dalton and Mary Linville each had four. Jaleah Marshall and Emma Elmore each had three points while Braylee Potts and Zion Badru each had two.

In the boys’ game, the Jr. Jackets trailed most of the night but rallied late for a 24-21 victory.

Cole Gregory had nine points, Dalton Stafford eight, Kobyn Calhoun six and Cooper Henley one.

On Nov. 4, JSMS dropped both home games to Smith County.

The Jr. Jackets lost 44-31 as Calhoun had 17 points, Gregory 10 and Stafford four.

The Jr. Lady Jackets fell 25-18 as Aponté had 13 points, Simmons two, Abby Elmore two and Dunn one.

JSMS will host Merrol Hyde on Monday and Red Boiling Springs on Tuesday.

Purple & Gold: The high school’s Purple & Gold intrasquad games will be played Thursday with the girls beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
