The Trousdale County High School softball team completed its regular season district games April 26 with a home game against Liberty Creek. The Lady Jackets rendered multiple runs in the first, third and seventh innings in their 9-2 loss, their second loss of the year to the Lady Wolves.

Junior Kayleigh Dunn had three of the five hits for the hosts, including two home runs. Maddie Lee and Cayden Ray had the other two hits.

Lee suffered the loss in the circle, as she recorded six strikeouts, while giving up eight hits, four earned runs and four walks.

The Hartsville girls traveled to Gainesboro Monday and captured a 6-0 victory. The visitors rang up 14 hits, as they raised their record to 10-4, and recorded their 10th consecutive win over the Lady Blue Devils.

Taren Simmons had two hits, including a home run. Ray and Mary Linville added two hits each. Bailey Hines, Emma Holder, Dunn, Lee, Leah Banks, Abbie Branscum, Kindle Berry and Willow Jones followed with one headpiece.

Lee and Aryell Leatherman combined for a no-hitter. Lee went four innings, collecting 10 strikeouts, and giving up two walks. Leatherman came on in relief to pitch the final frame.

The Lady Jackets will enter the District 6-2A next week as the number two seed.
